Want Your Stollen Stuff Back?

Posted in: Huber Ridge Area
Below is the listed police reports of the stuff I and my neighbor had stolen off our front porches.

We found two of the three stolen items at Levs Pawn shop 2 days ago. The people who took my property also sold a few other items to the pawn shop the same day. If you have had stuff turn up missing, Call BTPD report it missing and scout out levs on morse road to buy it back.

Stolen stuff

Dear Homeowner on Copenhagen,

Wow, thanks for the good? news about getting your stolen stuff back. I am curious - did you do the ''detective'' work? What was the process?

I assume the police will let the folks on Batavia know this, (due to recent thefts on their street) but I will also alert the street rep on Batavia of all of this.

Thanks for sharing your story.

Stolen Property

I am glad to hear the property was recovered. I am sure the police are fully aware of pawn shops and advise people to check for their property. I know I have no idea the make, model, serial number for most of my property. Getting the property back is like finding a needle in a hay stack.

Stolen Property

The police department is activley working the theft cases in and around the area. Unfortunatly, we find it is hard to determine rightful owners of recovered property when the true owner has no identifying features on the property. I would advise everyone to set some time aside and ''inventory'' your personal belongings. Photograph the property and log the model and serial numbers. This would also include jewlery, electronics, tools, etc... Keep a file, maybe with your insurance inforamtion, and update it every now and then.
We may never win entirely against the criminals, but let's make it as hard on them as we can.
Remember, CALL THE POLICE, if you see, hear or know of any possible criminal activity.
