Pissed off

Mr./Mrs. Furious,
The very fact that you don't have the guts to sign your name to your letter pretty much tells me what kind of person you are.
My only comments to you are, GET A LIFE!!!

Tom Heichel
A 42 year resident of Blendon Township and proud of it.
FOR SALE

i have read the discussions and decided to do some research before responding.

in reguards to the discussions signed by anything other than the author, i believe that is smart. i too will not sign this discussion. mr ward is a long time trustee who signs the police dept. pay checks, mr heichel is the retired police chief. offend either one and look out, there may be some strong ties there. 3 things that divide friends, and family. 1)money 2) politics 3)borrowing things. this election effects 2 of the 3 for mr ward.

tom, i really laughed out loud at your response. i see retirement has not changed you a bit. still fiesty as ever, and do not care who you may offend. thank goodness for you the police chief is not elected.

i would not have posted the comments as ''furious'' did, but i see his point and have been watching the decaying township for some time. i used to attend the township meetings regular and lost interest as resident after resident who brought up problems were shot down by excusses as to why they could not deal with the issue's. no one tried to find alternative methods to deal with it. the trustee's just stated ''can not do it'', followed by an excuse.
now i read the homeowners newsletter and to quote mr ward ''first is the need to addres the gradual deterioation of all the subdividions. this includes the streets, sidewalks, curbs, drain drops and signs.'' then in the response he does a complete 180. no money. well if you campaign to fix the problem where is this money coming from. in my experience it is always cheaper to address the problems when they arise before it accelerates. now the infrastructure is in real need of repair. there are real issues out there. buenos aires x paris at school crosswalk, there is a sewer drop that has decayed so thin it appears ready to fall in. what if a student stands on this and it gives in? does it now become a priorty?
it is always cheaper to be proactive than reactive. i have been a long time resident of the township and i have watched it decay for many years. now i will take a stand. mr ward if you are re-elected my house will be for sale! many of my neighbors feel the very same way. so if you see an entire street for sale after this election, then you will know who may of signed this.

FREEDOM OF SPEECH

Freedom of speech is an american right, a privilege. For this reason I like the discussion index and choose not to delete any discussions, unless it becomes vulgar. But remember the same right you have to express your thoughts is also the same right the next person has to express theirs. Even if they do not agree.

The HRAA does not support or agree with all or any statements made by individuals on this index. This forum allows residents to discuss issues of importance to them with or without disclosing their name. Please feel free to use it.

I have read the above discussions and personally feel individauls have the right to express thier beliefs, but I do not condone the personal attacks. It is apparant that we all have different views of the community, what it is today and what it should be tommorrow. Hence is why there are 3 different candidates running with 3 different views on the township and its future. Your views are important, your input is important, and your vote is important. You may make your statement here, but please do not call anyone a hillbilly, no personal attacks, etc... go to the polls and make your statement. You may not agree with a neighbor or residents way of living, their property, how things are handled etc... sure discuss it here but do not call them names. We all have views and opinions and do not see eye to eye, lets discuss it. lets not make it personal, this is how wars are started.

I encourage everyone to attend the Q & A session at Faith Covenant Church on Dempsey rd. Oct 16th @ 7:00 p.m. Meet the candiates and become informed so you can make an educated decision before going to the polls this Nov 6th. This is your Township and YOU do make a difference.

THANK YOU
James Welch

Hillbilly?

I believe the politically correct statement would be Appellation American, not hillbilly anyway. I don?’t think Mr. Ward is appellation of origin, does anyone else?
