THANK YOU HRAA - HATS OFF

Posted in: Huber Ridge Area
I would like to thank the association for the tremondous effort they put in to fighting the water rate issue in our community. I understand we will be receiving an increase, but what would it have been if they would have done nothing? The township trustee's (that word ''trustee'' is very generous for this group) have done nothing in the past and during this rate increase. I mean only 2 were in attendance at the dec. 5th meeting and not one of them spoke and 2 of them live in this community. this is diplorable (too think we have elected these lazy trustee's), they are being paid for what? Well that is enouph of them. I just want to thank the HRAA for the great job they have done and continue to do. The savings on just the rate increase will more than pay for my yearly membership. To you HRAA i will gladly renew my membership yearly. keep up the great work.

Dear Anonymous

Thank you, for your encouragement to us as an association. We keep trying to communicate to all neighbors that this association is merely comprised of neighbors who care about Huber Ridge. We could not have done anything significant to effect results in the OAW increase were it not for the response of the people in this community.

Regarding our trustees, yes they are our elected officials. While I do not disagree with some of what you have written about their involvement (or lack thereof), I would encourage you to communicate whatever grievances you may have regarding their performance, good or bad, to them. How else will they know unless you tell them? It may take time and effort, and it may not be comfortable for you, but at least they would have the opportunity to reply to your specific concerns - even if you may not be satisfied with their reply.

In November, we will again have the opportunity to vote for two trustees; one to fill the remaining two years of Kevin Bacon's term and one for another four year term. I hope that all residents will take the time to find out just what the trustee hopefuls plan to do to improve our community. Also, I hope that all residents will communicate what they think needs to happen in order to improve our community. Most important, I hope that all residents will VOTE after they have done their homework.

There is a lot that the trustees could do - but there is also a lot that we can do with our own properties. We can also help each other. That, too, is what the association is all about - helping the community.

Thanks again.
