UPDATE!! HOLIDAY CHEER PROGRAM

UPDATE:  We have received the basic information for our family! Mom in late 30's, father in his late 40's, 11 & 3 year old boys, and a 9 year old girl. So far we have recorded about $170 in donations, which is a great start, but we need to reach at least $500 before the deadline of November 28th. If we receive more, we can help another family or a senior! We have enough elves to do the shopping and will share the wishlists with them when we get them. Please help us reach our goal!

It’s time to start thinking about the families in Huber Ridge who won’t have much to celebrate this holiday season; it’s time to begin the Holiday Cheer program for 2018.

This community has been amazing in the past years, raising up to over $800 to provide gifts, food, gas cards, clothing and a whole lot of love and joy to a hurting family.

For now, we have just requested one family, and may consider adopting another or a few seniors who have had setbacks this year as well.  The vetting process is the same as always; the Westerville Area Resource Ministry will select a family from their adoptee requests who is a Huber Ridge resident and their “wish lists” will be given to the HRAA.  The names of the family we bless are not known to anyone other than WARM staff.

However, before we know how many families or seniors we can assist, we need to know how much residents are willing to donate.

Donate to the Holiday Cheer fund at http://www.huberridge.org/ and click on the PayPal donate button or contact Claudia Carney at caseysmom0306@gmail.com. Dennis Overholts is also working hard on raising funds, so you can give him donations as well.

Please make this season happier for a family who might not have much happiness their lives.
